What is most interesting about the Eden is 'change'.

When it first opened to the public in 2000,

the greenhouses were still under construction

and the outdoor garden rather empty.

However, the Eden has changed its face considerably since then.

Plants grow. Different plants are introduced. Art exhibits change.

An outdoor stage and exhibition centre have been added

and a new education centre is now being built.

Change is the fundamental law of nature.

That is why the Eden is not a finished product but an ongoing 'project',

which aims for the coexistence of nature and people.

The Eden will continue to appeal to people in various ways.

The people will respond by changing their ideas and lifestyles.

Life has returned to the exhausted landscape.

The Eden Project indicates to us a potential to change.
